Approach & Methods

An Integrative Therapy Designed for Lasting Emotional Change

My Therapeutic Approach

Every person has a unique story.

No two people experience anxiety, burnout, trauma or emotional challenges in exactly the same way. For this reason, I believe therapy should never follow a standard protocol.

For more than 10 years, I have supported adults in Brussels through a personalised integrative therapy approach that combines evidence-based methods with a deep understanding of emotional patterns, the nervous system and human resilience.

Rather than focusing solely on symptom relief, we work together to understand the underlying patterns that contribute to anxiety, burnout, trauma, low self-esteem or emotional overwhelm.

The goal is not simply to help you feel better temporarily, but to create lasting emotional change by strengthening resilience, restoring emotional balance and helping you reconnect with your inner resources.

Every therapeutic journey is personalised, compassionate and adapted to your unique needs, empowering you to move forward with greater clarity, confidence and emotional wellbeing.

The Four Pillars of My Work

1. Understand

Meaningful change begins with understanding.

Together, we explore the thoughts, emotions, beliefs and life experiences that contribute to your current difficulties.

Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we seek to understand the deeper emotional patterns that may be maintaining anxiety, burnout, trauma, low self-esteem or emotional distress.

Greater self-awareness creates the foundation for lasting change.

Together we explore:

2. Regulate

Emotional change is difficult when the nervous system remains in a constant state of stress or survival.

One of the first objectives of therapy is therefore to help your body regain a sense of safety and emotional balance.

Depending on your individual needs, we may work with:

Learning to regulate your nervous system often reduces anxiety, emotional overwhelm and chronic stress while creating the conditions necessary for deeper therapeutic work.

3. Transform

Once emotional safety has been established, we begin transforming the patterns that no longer serve you.

Depending on your needs, therapy may include:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Helping you identify automatic thoughts, challenge limiting beliefs and develop healthier thinking patterns.

Brief Therapy

Identifying the patterns that maintain emotional difficulties while developing practical and lasting solutions.

Strategic Problem Solving Inspired by the Palo Alto Approach

Understanding how repeated attempts to solve a problem may unintentionally keep it going, and introducing meaningful changes that create new possibilities.

Behavioural Experiments

Replacing fear-based predictions with new experiences that build confidence and emotional flexibility.

Cognitive Restructuring

Learning to question self-critical thoughts and replace them with more balanced and compassionate perspectives.

4. Reconnect

Therapy is not about becoming someone else.

It is about reconnecting with the person you already are beneath years of anxiety, stress, trauma, perfectionism or self-doubt.

As therapy progresses, many people rediscover:

The Therapeutic Tools I Use

Each therapeutic journey is personalised.

According to your needs, therapy may integrate:

Every technique is selected because it is appropriate for your situation.

There is no standard protocol.

Why My Integrative Therapy Approach Is Different

Every person experiences emotional challenges differently.

While two people may both experience anxiety, burnout or low self-esteem, the underlying causes are often very different.

For this reason, I believe therapy should never follow a standard protocol or rely on a single therapeutic method.

For more than 10 years, I have supported adults in Brussels through a personalised integrative therapy approach. During this time, I have learned that lasting emotional change begins by understanding the whole person—not just the symptoms.

Anxiety is not only about anxious thoughts.

Burnout is not simply the result of working too much.

Low self-esteem cannot always be transformed through positive thinking alone.

Behind every emotional difficulty lies a unique combination of thoughts, emotions, past experiences, behavioural patterns and nervous system responses.

Rather than applying the same approach to everyone, I integrate evidence-informed therapeutic methods according to your individual needs, goals and life experiences.

Together, we work to understand these deeper patterns, strengthen emotional resilience and develop the practical tools needed to create meaningful and lasting change.

The aim is not simply to reduce symptoms, but to restore emotional balance, increase self-awareness and help you reconnect with your own inner resources.

Because lasting wellbeing begins with understanding yourself.

My Philosophy

I believe that therapy is not about fixing people. It is about helping them understand themselves more deeply, regulate their emotional world, transform limiting patterns and reconnect with the strengths that have always been within them.
